Chia Bread

Oven Temp: 350°F | Bake Time: 30-40 min

Part 1

  • 1/2 CUP Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 CUP Chia Seeds
  • 1/2 CUP Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 TBSP Butter
  • 1 TBSP Yeast
  • 2 1/2 CUPS Water

Part 2

  • 4-5 CUPS Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda

  1. Combine Part 1 in mixing bowl and let rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Add Part 2, with the Hook Attachment, Knead the dough on Speed 2 until dough is moderately stiff and smooth.
  3. Shape dough into a ball and place in greased bowl, (turn once). Cover let rise for 45-60 minutes.
  4. Punch down dough, turn onto lightly floured surface. Cut in half and let rest for 10 minutes.
  5. Shape 2 loaves, and let rest for 30 minutes covered.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°
  7. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
